Getting started
What is MEDOST?
An AI study companion for MBBS students and for FMGE, NEET PG and NExT preparation. Ask any question, practise MCQs and flashcards, check your written answers, do a viva, read ECGs and revise your weak topics. Answers are for learning, not for treating real patients.
Is it free?
Yes. The free plan gives you 25 questions every 3 hours, plus a few quizzes, flashcards and other tools each day. Paid plans give more: Basic ₹499, Exam Pack ₹999 and Global Pass ₹1,499, each for 30 days. Compare every limit under Upgrade plan in the profile menu.
How do I install the app?
On Android, install the MEDOST app from the link on medost.app/app. On any phone or computer you can also open medost.app in your browser and choose Add to Home Screen or Install.
Answers are slow sometimes. Why?
MEDOST writes long answers live, word by word. When many students ask at once, or an AI provider is busy, it switches to another one, which can take a few seconds more. If an answer takes too long, it keeps working in the background and the answer appears when it's ready.
Your account
I forgot my password
Use Forgot password on the sign-in screen. The email can take a few minutes; check your spam folder. Still nothing? Write to us from the email you signed up with.
How do I download my data?
Open Account → Data → Download my data. You get one file with your profile, chats, saved answers, practice results, payments and posts.
How do I delete my account?
Open Account → Data → Delete my account and type DELETE to confirm. Your account, chats, notes, progress and posts are deleted straight away, and any auto-renew is cancelled. Payment records are kept without your name, because tax law requires it. This can't be undone.
Can I use one account on two devices?
Yes, sign in with the same email. Your chats follow you while Settings → Chats on all my devices is on. Please don't share an account with another person.
Can I download my notes, answers or flashcards?
Yes. Every answer has a PDF button; flashcard decks have ⤓ PDF and ⤓ Anki (open Anki → File → Import and pick the file); My Notes has Download as PDF; and Mistake Revision can export your mistakes to Anki. On a phone, choose Save as PDF in the print screen that opens.
How does revision decide when a question comes back?
MEDOST uses FSRS, the same method as Anki: questions you get wrong come back tomorrow, and ones you know come back just before you would forget them. After a right answer, tell it how sure you were (Hard, Good or Easy); each button shows when the question will return.
Plans and payments
How do I pay?
Choose a plan under Upgrade plan in the profile menu and pay with UPI, card, net banking or a wallet through Razorpay. Your plan starts as soon as the payment is confirmed, and a receipt is emailed to you.
How do I cancel auto-renew?
Open Account → Billing → Cancel auto-renew. It stops at once and nothing more is charged; you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. One-month plans never renew, so there is nothing to cancel. We also email you about 3 days before any renewal.
My payment failed, or I paid but have no plan
If the money left your account, wait 2 minutes and reopen the app: MEDOST checks with Razorpay and gives you the plan. If it still hasn't arrived, write to us with the payment reference from your bank or UPI app. Failed payments are usually returned by your bank within 5–7 days.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 days of your first purchase, and also for double charges or if MEDOST doesn't work and we can't fix it. See the Refund Policy.
Using MEDOST safely
Can I send photos of patients or case sheets?
No. Never send anything that could identify a real patient: names, faces, hospital numbers, phone numbers or case sheets. Cover or crop them out, or make up an example. MEDOST is for learning, not for real patient care.
The AI gave a wrong answer
Tap thumbs-down under the answer and tell us what was wrong; we read every report. AI can be wrong, so check important facts in standard textbooks and guidelines. MEDOST shows its sources where it can.
Who sees my questions?
Only you, unless you post in the Community. To answer, your question is sent to an AI provider (mainly Google Gemini). The Privacy Policy explains exactly what is shared and with whom.
How do I turn notifications or emails off?
Notifications: in Settings, or in your browser or phone settings. Emails: study tips and offers come only if you said yes. Turn them on or off in Account → Emails, or use the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of those emails. Account emails such as receipts and renewal notices still arrive.
Community
What can I post?
Study questions, anonymised cases, mnemonics and exam tips. No patient details, no personal treatment advice, no abuse, spam or advertising. The full rules are in the Terms. Posts marked Team MEDOST are from MEDOST itself.
How do I report a post?
Tap Report on the post. Posts that several people report are hidden until we check them. For anything urgent, write to the Grievance Officer (below).
